About Me
I have been a professional educator for over 15 years, teaching a wide variety of subjects and skills such as white water kayaking, high school chemistry and math, adaptive outdoor recreation, and museum education around everything from robotics, to holography, to origami and more. Teaching is one of the best ways to learn something and every time I teach a groups of students at any age, I gain new insights into a topic.
Just like I love to inspire students to explore and problem solve, I too enjoy the processes of learning new things and reminding myself what it is like to be a beginner again. When I find a new subject or skill that I enjoy, I cannot help but take a deep dive into learning as much as I can about it. Photography, 3D printing, and laser cutting have become excellent platforms with which I can learn by doing, making, and observing.
This website is a showcase of many of the topics and skills I have explored over the last several years. These include my interests in space exploration, nature, puzzling, game design, mechanical mechanisms, and much more!
